THE HISTORY
Built at the end of the XVI century by the Patarol family, and then inherited by the noble house of Rizzo, which became extinct in 1833, the building now housing the 5-Star Boscolo Venezia Hotel was a monastery and the embassies of France and Savoy. The building has the structure of a Venetian house, which functioned both as a place of representation and as a storehouse for the well-to-do lagoon merchants.
Multi-colored marble, fine Venetian stucco, superb chandeliers – authentic works of art of the master glass workers of Murano – wall decorations, brocaded and inlaid in the floors: these are the constant features of the hotel.
At the time of its construction, the Fondamenta Madonna dell’Orto was the only one to be cultivated in all of Venice and the palace thus became gained an enormous garden, something really rare here: the Boscolo Venezia is the only hotel in Venice with a private garden of over 2000 m². Winding paths, trompe-l’oeil with rocks, caves, false ruins; fountains which, with their crystalline jets underline the quietness of this splendid park, and an ice-house: the hotel offers its guests a real journey through history, a sublime pleasure for the spirit and the eyes.
ROOMS AND SUITES
The 66 rooms at Boscolo Venezia are an epitome of Venetian style, with high ceilings and period furnishings. The 7 Junior Suites are all unique and furnished differently:oriental carpets, 18th-century painted wardrobes, and Murano chandeliers give Boscolo Venezia’s guests’ nights to
dream about. Several of these Suites look out onto the hotel garden, while the Junior Suites on the first floor, nestled in greenery, open onto a Noble lounge: an elegant and spacious room available for unforgettable receptions and banquets. The Deluxe Rooms feature spacious rooms
with high ceilings, to immerse yourself in the exceptional charm of time-past luxury, in contrast with the innovative comfort in service. From the 18th-century period Superior Rooms, you can watch Venice as it awakes, as if from looking out of a porthole of an ancient sailing ship. The Presidential
Suite instead, is a true Venetian dream: independent from the hotel and nestled in the garden, it has a luxurious day area and upstairs loft for sleeping quarters where you can admire daybreak on the lagoon.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS
At Il Giardino Segreto Restaurant, guests can enjoy a taste of Venetian and International
specialties at theme-based units with the kitchen in full view. The top-class cuisine is sure to
satisfy even the most demanding palate and makes it one of the most exclusive luxury restaurants in the city. Choice wines and refined champagne accompanied by a taste of fish and meat delicacies with a strong regional influence, and enticing aperitifs inspired by traditional
recipes. In the summer, you can enjoy the silent and luxurious setting of the hotel’s historic
garden. The Doge Orseolo lounge bar is the perfect place to savour an after-dinner drink in
an intimate, warm and cosy setting.

In the new Spa, hotel guests can regenerate themselves with one of the beauty treatments in
